Fire Safety Checks

An expert, independently certified service which maximises safety and value.

 What are they?

These are fire safety compliance checks which must be conducted on a regular basis and logged for future records. These checks include:

  • Weekly Fire Alarm Testing
  • Monthly Emergency Lighting (EML) Testing
  • Quarterly & Bi-annual Fire Door Inspections

Why use ABCA to complete these?

We can take the stress out of compliance, with a team of dedicated Fire Safety Officers. Utilising our CRM system, we’ll create bespoke schedules for each site, creating and assigning jobs to our dedicated officers local to your sites and provide all paper work following each visit to confirm the testing is complete. Our officers are trained across a variety of systems and understand how to conduct the testing efficiently with the least amount of disruption to resistant’s. Our team will report on any failures or un-resolved issues immediately, removing the middle man and repeat visits to diagnose faults or get specific details to allow the repairs to take place.

 Weekly Fire Alarm Testing

  • Regularly testing done each weekly on set days within an approximate time slot – allowing resistant’s to be prepared for the loud alert.
  • Fire Safety Officers have training on a variety of Fire Panels, understanding how to put them into test mode and disarm correctly following each test.
  • All testing entered into onsite log books and electronic job sheet provided following each visit.

Quarterly & Bi-Annual Fire Door Inspections

  • Comprehensive fire door inspection report provided following all visits, inclusive of photos and remedial actions required.
  • Inspection completed by Fire Safety Officers with the latest training and understanding of regulations.
  • Group fire door inspections alongside other NTC checks, to provide resistant’s wider availability of dates to allow access.

 Monthly EML Testing

  • All EML failure’s reported immediately with location, make & model details to streamline the replacement process.
  • All sites will be 100% walked off at each visit, ensuring all lights have been accurately checked throughout the building.
  • Asset tagging available to enable better tracking of EML failures and warranty claims.

Asset Tagging:

Incorporate asset tagging with your fire safety checks. We’ll label all unique assets with their own individual QR code, which stores asset specific details into a central online database. Benefits of asset tagging include:

  • Full site asset inventory. Always know what you have and where it’s located within the building.
  • Keep maintenance records against specific assets. This will help to ensure a true 100% maintenance of all site assets is complete throughout the year.
  • Asset insight to help understand when an asset was last replaced or repaired and if it still falls within a warranty period.

Asset tagging can be incorporated with our fire safety visits and therefore reduce the overheads associated with completing the task on its own. Once complete, we can register events against each asset as and when testing or inspections are completed.
